Embark on a transformative journey with Yoga and Sport with Refugees (YSR) through our dynamic internship program. This unique opportunity blends academic learning with hands-on experience in a grassroots organisation dedicated to supporting refugees. As an intern, you will engage in project-based work and actively participate in our community outreach initiatives, including volunteering in our gyms and organising fundraising events.

At YSR, interns are vital in influencing the future of our organisation. You'll work closely with other interns, staff, and your assigned coordinator to advance projects and discover possible collaborations across different efforts. We're looking for individuals who are proactive, energetic, and have solid analytical and time management abilities. It's important that you're genuinely motivated to contribute to our mission of empowering people through sports.

## **Development and Strategic Partnerships Intern**

The Development and Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for securing the resources and partnerships that enable Yoga and Sport with Refugees (YSR) to deliver its programs across Greece and France. Through grant fundraising, corporate partnerships, donor stewardship and strategic collaborations, the team works to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the organization.

This internship is ideal for someone interested in fundraising, business development, CSR partnerships and nonprofit strategy. The intern will work closely with the Development Team and gain hands-on experience in identifying funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and supporting the proposal development process.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Researching foundations, trusts and institutional donors aligned with YSR's mission
- Supporting the drafting of grant applications, concept notes and funding proposals

- Mapping and researching potential corporate and CSR partners

- Contributing to the development and implementation of YSR's strategic partnerships plan

- Supporting donor stewardship and relationship management activities

- Assisting with fundraising campaigns and partnership communications

- Conducting prospect research and maintaining fundraising databases

- Supporting reporting processes for donors and partners

We are particularly looking for candidates who have an interest in strategic partnership development, CSR engagement, fundraising and proposal writing. Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, business development or partnership management is highly valued.

**What we're looking for:**

- Minimum age of 21
- Educational background related to Marketing, Sustainable Development, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, International Relations

- Commitment of at least 6 months

- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Independence and previous NGO experience preferred

- Passion for event organisation

- Some experience in administrative tasks

- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges

- Flexibility and adaptability

**Additional Notes:**

The internship can start in **September 2026** and will last a minimum 6 months. The intern can be based at one of our project locations in Greece or work remotely.
