**SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI)** is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in some twenty countries, the SI teams – 2500 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.

## About the mission

Present in Haiti since 2004, Solidarités International (SI) has developed extensive expertise in emergency response, initially built following Hurricane Jeanne and further strengthened through major crises, including the 2016 hurricane, the 2021 earthquake, and successive disease outbreaks. A key actor in the WASH sector, as well as in food security, livelihoods and nutrition, SI has been supporting the most vulnerable populations for more than a decade, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities.

In response to the deteriorating security situation linked to organized armed groups, SI currently operates in 17 displacement sites across Delmas, Cité Soleil and Port-au-Prince, improving access to safe water and sanitation facilities while contributing to the prevention of waterborne diseases. SI also addresses immediate needs through income-generating activities and nutrition prevention programmes targeting children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.
