Overview of position
Background:
- CTG is building an Ebola Response Roster to strengthen preparedness for potential emergency response requirements in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other affected or at-risk countries.
- The roster will allow CTG to identify and engage experienced professionals who may be available to support Ebola Virus Disease response operations, subject to confirmed client requirements, contracting arrangements, compliance checks and deployment conditions.
- This is a preparedness roster and does not represent recruitment against a confirmed live contract at this stage. Candidates included in the roster may be contacted when relevant client requirements arise.
Purpose of the roster:
- The purpose of this roster is to create a targeted pool of qualified, experienced and field-ready professionals who can support rapid Ebola response activities across public health, clinical care, surveillance, infection prevention, community engagement, WASH, logistics, protection and psychosocial support functions.
- The roster is intended to improve CTG’s ability to respond quickly and credibly to potential client needs in complex, conflict-affected and humanitarian operating environments.

Role objectives
Indicative area of responsibility:
- Depending on the role category and client requirement, rostered consultants may be expected to support one or more of the following areas:
Public Health, Epidemiology and Surveillance:
- Support outbreak investigation, field epidemiology and public health analysis.
- Assist with surveillance, case finding, contact tracing and follow-up.
- Support preparation of line lists, epidemiological summaries, situation reports or dashboards.
- Coordinate with health authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and field response teams.
Infection Prevention, Clinical Response and Laboratory Support:
- Support infection prevention and control activities in health facilities, field sites or isolation areas.
- Assist with triage, isolation, referral and safe patient flow, where relevant.
- Support PPE protocols, health worker safety and IPC training or coaching.
- Support laboratory coordination, sample management, biosafety or diagnostic workflows, where relevant.
- Support emergency health project management, case management coordination and clinical response planning, where required.
Community Engagement, RCCE and Social Mobilisation:
- Support risk communication, community engagement and social mobilisation activities.
- Work with community leaders, civil society, local authorities, health workers and affected communities.
- Support community feedback, rumour tracking and trust-building.
- Promote safe practices, early reporting and acceptance of response measures.
- Support coordination and liaison with local authorities, Ministry of Health structures and community-level response actors, where required.
WASH, Logistics and Field Operations:
- Support hygiene promotion, decontamination, sanitation, water supply or waste management activities.
- Support movement and management of personnel, PPE, medical supplies, medication supply chain, cold chain items, equipment and emergency response materials.
- Assist with fleet, warehousing, procurement, distribution, inventory or field base operations.
- Work closely with technical, logistics, security and programme teams.
