**Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM)** is an independent non-governmental non-profit organization. We seek to build a society that guarantees freedom of expression and belief, human rights, and justice. Our vision is a democratic world based on justice, freedom, equality, and respect for human rights and dignity.

Within the framework of the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM)’s work to build a society based on respect for and protection of the right to freedom of expression, and to support media work as a form of freedom of expression with a focus on including media professionals in transitional justice, and within its project related to media justice in Syria, the Media and Freedoms Program at the Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression plans to conduct a study addressing:

*Opportunities and Challenges of Including Accountability for Crimes Committed Against Journalists and Media Professionals within Transitional Justice Processes in Syria*

SCM is seeking a field researcher based on the following technical requirements:

- Contribute to the development of research tools in coordination with the principal investigator.
- Prepare lists of respondents and target stakeholders.
- Conduct individual interviews with journalists, media professionals, experts, and relevant parties.
- Administer surveys and collect responses.
- Document, transcribe, and organize interviews according to agreed-upon standards.
- Prepare periodic field reports and memos.
- Contribute to the analysis of preliminary results and the identification of key trends.
- Support the organization of consultative meetings and meetings with relevant parties.
- Adhere to the principles of confidentiality, protection, and research ethics.

**Expected Deliverables:**

- Database of conducted interviews and questionnaires.
- Transcripts of interviews and field observations.
- Periodic follow-up reports.
- Contribute to the analysis of preliminary results.

**Required Documents:**

- Proof of experience in similar projects, including:
- University degree in media, social sciences, law, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in field research or qualitative data collection.
- Experience in conducting interviews and questionnaires.
- Knowledge of the Syrian context and issues related to media and human rights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants.
- Ability to travel within Syria when necessary.
- Financial offer including:
- The Financial compensation.
- The validity of the offer (duration- date)

وضمن إطار عمل المركز السوري للإعلام وحرية التعبير (SCM) في بناء مجتمع قائم على احترام وحماية حق التعبير الحر عن الرأي، ودعم العمل الإعلامي بوصفه أحد أشكال حرية الرأي مع التركيز على شمول الإعلاميين بالعدالة الانتقالية، وضمن مشروعه المتعلق بالعدالة الإعلامية بسوريا، يخطط برنامج الإعلام والحريات في المركز السوري للإعلام وحرية التعبير إلى تنفيذ دراسة تتناول:

العدالة للإعلاميين في سوريا:

فرص وتحديات تضمين المحاسبة على الجرائم المرتكبة بحق الصحفيين والإعلاميين ضمن مسارات العدالة الانتقالية في سوريا

تبحث SCM عن باحث/ـة ميداني بناء على المتطلبات الفنية التالية:

- المساهمة في تطوير أدوات البحث بالتنسيق مع الباحث/ة الرئيسي/ة.
- إعداد قوائم المستجيبين وأصحاب المصلحة المستهدفين.
- إجراء المقابلات الفردية مع الصحفيين والإعلاميين والخبراء والجهات المعنية.
- تنفيذ الاستبيانات وجمع الردود ومتابعتها.
- توثيق المقابلات وتفريغها وتنظيمها وفق المعايير المتفق عليها.
- إعداد مذكرات وتقارير ميدانية دورية.
- مساهمة في تحليل النتائج الأولية واستخلاص الاتجاهات الرئيسية.
- دعم تنظيم الاجتماعات التشاورية واللقاءات مع الجهات المعنية.
- الالتزام بمبادئ السرية والحماية وأخلاقيات البحث.

**المخرجات المتوقعة:**

- قاعدة بيانات للمقابلات والاستبيانات المنفذة.
- تفريغات المقابلات والملاحظات الميدانية.
- تقارير متابعة دورية.
- مساهمة في تحليل النتائج الأولية.

**المستندات المطلوبة:**

- إثبات الخبرة في مشاريع مماثلة متضمناً:
- شهادة جامعية في الإعلام أو العلوم الاجتماعية أو القانون أو أي مجال ذي صلة.
- خبرة لا تقل عن ثلاث سنوات في البحث الميداني أو جمع البيانات النوعية.
- خبرة في إجراء المقابلات والاستبيانات.
- معرفة بالسياق السوري وقضايا الإعلام وحقوق الإنسان.
- مهارات تواصل عالية وقدرة على بناء الثقة مع المشاركين.
- القدرة على التنقل داخل سوريا عند الحاجة.
- عرض مالي يشمل:
- التعويض المالي المطلوب.
- صلاحية العرض (مدة العمل- تاريخ صلاحية العرض)
