Area Coordinator (Expat Position)

## **General job description**

The purpose of the Area Coordinator position is to ensure high quality and cost-effective program/project implementation within the designated geographical area.

The Area Coordinator is responsible for oversight of ACF operations in the area of operation attributed.

The position is duty-stationed in one of the filed office with frequent travels to other areas to support and supervise program implementation and teams. this position is a member of the SMT (Senior Management Team)

## **Key activities**

**Objective 1: Program implementation and Area Management**

- Oversee and ensure effective implementation of all programs within the Area of Responsibility, guaranteeing adherence to project plans, timelines, budgets, ACF guidelines, and donor requirements.
- Hold overall accountability for timely and high-quality delivery of ACF programs across a large and diverse operational area, in support and collaboration of the Program Coordinator of the assigned area
- Provide strategic leadership and line management to Heads of Bases, Field Coordinators, and Field Managers, ensuring harmonized approaches and operational coherence across states.
- Support Area Program Coordinator in applying and monitoring BFU, ITT, DIP, PPP, and other project management tools consistently across all field locations.
- Ensure program coherence and compliance, maintaining quality standards and donor requirements across multiple operational contexts.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor implementation quality, identify bottlenecks, and provide timely solutions to operational challenges

**Objective 2: Program Development and Coordination Office Support**

- Lead and contribute to the development of new programs and proposals that address the needs of the most vulnerable households, through comprehensive needs assessments and program design.
- Act as a key link between field bases and the Coordination Office, ensuring area-level priorities, challenges, and l
