Full Description

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 0201 Series SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade NH-01/GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include Knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of military personnel principals, policies, practices, analytical, diagnostic techniques, concepts, legal requirements, and methodology to gather facts, respond to questions, ensure regulatory compliance and provide advisory services to solve a wide range of complex military personnel problems and issues. Analytical and diagnostic techniques and qualitative and quantitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate and recommend to management appropriate interventions to resolve complex interrelated personnel problems and issues.

OR EDUCATION: Completed 4 years course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of and skill in applying a wide range of military personnel principals, policies, practices, analytical, diagnostic techniques, concepts, legal requirements, and methodology to gather facts, respond to questions, ensure regulatory compliance and provide advisory services to solve a wide range of complex military personnel problems and issues. 2. Analytical and diagnostic techniques and qualitative and quantitative techniques sufficient to identify, evaluate and recommend to management appropriate interventions to resolve complex interrelated personnel problems and issues. Ability to analyze facts, identify problems, report findings, make conclusions and recommend corrective or other appropriate actions. 3. Knowledge of techniques for developing new or modified personnel work methods, approaches or procedures for delivering effective personnel services to clients. 4. Knowledge of interrelationship of military personnel programs to properly refer managers and customers for assistance and technical problem solving. 5. Skill in written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. 6. Ability to use personal computers and related software applications in support of office functions PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
