SUPERVISORY ACQUISITION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

Conditions of Employment Continued These are acquisition positions and are covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program. The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act requirements applicable to the duties of the positions. Must have Advanced Certification in Program Management or the ability to earn Advanced Certification within grace period (48 months from appointment to initial position requiring Advanced Certification in Program Management). Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience must include one or more of the following areas: Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of DoW acquisition policies, regulations, and processes (e.g., DoD 5000 series). Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate multi-disciplined teams of military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior leadership and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and implement effective corrective actions. Experience working with contracting officers and managing contracts in a DoW environment.
