Plan International started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.
Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that **“Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.**
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
You will be responsible for providing overall strategic management, and accountability for UNHCR-funded livelihood projects. TYou will ensure the effective, timely, and compliant implementation of project activities in line with approved proposals, workplans, budgets, and donor requirements, while contributing to Plan International Egypt’s Country Strategy.
Further, you will provide direct supervision and guidance to the project team, including the UNHCR Livelihood Project Officers and assistants, ensuring high-quality delivery, adaptive management, risk mitigation, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will also serve as a link between the target beneficiaries and all stakeholders critical to the project success.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure project success, manage and mentor staff for professional growth.
- Identify and mitigate risks, align activities with organizational policies and indicators.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams and partners to achieve objectives.
- Monitor and follow up project implementation with partners.
- Facilitate development of plans, coordination, and teamwork.
- Prepare quarterly progress reports, track indicators, and support donor reporting.
- Organize reflection and coordination meetings, review and adjust plans.
- Embed gender equality, safeguarding, monitoring, and security policies in implementation
- Plan International has a robust global policy for Safeguarding and Gender Equality and Inclusion standards, ensuring staff and associates within your scope strictly comply with these principles and guidelines.
- You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.
**What we are looking for:**
- Someone with a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or similar field.
- Should have 3-5 years of experience with a proven record of success at a similar level preferably in an INGO sector.
- Should have proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different civil society and Community based organization.
- Someone experienced in planning, conducting, and facilitating trainings/workshops.
- Knowledgeable on Primary Impact Groups face lifelong vulnerabilities from poverty, inequality, and exclusion, rooted in discrimination and weak institutions, with families, communities, governments, civil society, and the private sector as key actors.
- Someone knowledgeable on gender transformative approaches, strong partnerships, evidence-based strategies, and civil society strengthening.
- Ability to provide clear direction, support, and effective teamwork.
- Someone strong in monitoring, assessment, data interpretation, and communicating results to improve implementation.
- Someone skilled in financial analysis for budgeting, planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Should have excellent analytical, administrative, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective interaction across all levels, with strong time management and collaboration skills.
