**SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI)** is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.

## La mission

**Solidarités International** has been operating in the Gaza Strip since February 2024, establishing a strong presence in the WASH sector with a particular focus on hard-to-reach areas underserved by other partners. Activities aim to improve access to safe drinking water through the rehabilitation and installation of reverse osmosis units, water trucking and water-point distribution, and the deployment of mobile pumping systems connected to existing wells. SI also conducts water-quality monitoring, distributes shelter, winterization and hygiene kits, promotes good hygiene and water-management practices, and since 2025 has been developing FSL activities such as home-gardening initiatives.
Following the 10 October 2025 ceasefire and the evolution of the operational environment, SI is scaling up its response to remain operationally relevant and expand both its reach and impact.
