Operations Supervisor

GS-15 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Performing Federal budget formulation, execution, and financial reporting for multi-million-dollar programs, including managing annual budget submissions to Congress, overseeing spend plans, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely obligation and expenditure of funds. Applying Federal acquisition principles to plan, develop, and oversee procurement actions, contract performance, and key deliverables; experience developing acquisition documentation (e.g., PWS, IGCEs); and experience managing the lifecycle of Federal financial assistance initiatives. Reviewing and evaluating administrative workflows or business processes to improve efficiency; developing or implementing standard operating procedures or operational plans; and overseeing day-to-day office operations, administrative activities, or executive correspondence. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
