## What we are looking for

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a **highly qualified,** **resilient, and dynamic professional** to take up the role of **Head of Support for Haiti**. The purpose of the role **is to ensure that all support functions are providing high quality and efficient support programme implementation in Haiti. The position plays a significant role in organizational structure and implementation of NRC Support Systems and Procedures.**

## What you will do

- Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff. This includes:
- Performance management process; setting clear goals aligned to country strategy and priorities, and to follow up and support staff’s achievement.

- Responsible for key processes as workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction and development and ensure Duty of Care for own staff

- To be responsible for bolstering the support unit (Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, ICT, Risk and Compliance) and develop relevant training including coaching of newly support to ensure they meet NRC’s standards. Also contribute to the induction of new staff with a role in the processes

- Facilitate the support function`s strategic input to the development of the Country Strategy and Plan of Action

- Create collaborative and supportive working relationships between support and programme teams in all offices, ensuring respectful communication and timely responses.

- Together with the Country Director and Finance Manager, ensure timely and accurate periodical financial reporting to the Regional Team.

- Ensure an strategic role and involvement of support functions in the elaboration of the NRC Haiti Country Strategy and annual Plan of Action.

What you will bring

- Minimum 4 years’ experience from a senior management position in a humanitarian/ recovery context
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.

- Proven experience in allocation of resources and costs expertise

- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile

- Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal

- Knowledge of the context in Haiti

- Experience with start-up and emergency response.

- Solid knowledge of Logistic and procurement, HR and finance routines in a humanitarian context.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.

- Flexible and able to deal with sudden changes.

## What we offer

- **Duty station: Port-au-Prince, Haiti**
- **Contract: fixed national contract signed with ECSI, or international contract 12 months (renewable subject to funding and performance)**

- Travel: 30% to areas of intervention
