Financial Accounts Technician

GS-6 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) in the Federal service. Specialized experience: Experience performing financial accounting functions (e.g., handling funds, processing payments, posting financial transaction information, balancing financial accounts). GS-7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include the following: budget execution and management; procurement, purchasing, and/or acquisition of supplies, services, and/or equipment; monitoring/controlling accounting transactions and records; reconciling financial discrepancies; reconciling subsidiary ledgers to general ledgers; and entering data in and extracting data from financial and accounting systems.
