We build structures and networks that support displaced people to become resilient, autonomous and self-reliant again!

Since April 2022 we are running a Women’s and Kid’s space together in Athens. Our child-friendly area provides a safe and fun space for children. It’s equipped with arts and crafts materials, a toy cooking station, a reading corner, and many toys to play with. In our kids’ space, we provide supervised child care for mothers and fathers who take part in services provided by our partner organizations or us in the Victoria Community Center.

Activities include Greek, English and art classes, psychological and legal support sessions, and cafe space for parents to relax.

**Key responsibilities of the job include:**

- Providing appropriate support and guidance to children in the Kid’s space
- Providing social support including maintaining an environment that builds the confidence, resilience and self-esteem of children
- Motivating and encouraging children
- Prepare creative and simple activities for children to run in the space
- Attend weekly team meetings (depending on the number of shifts)
- Reporting any child or adult protection concerns to the Protection focal points
- Remaining flexible based on the project needs
- Cleaning of the spaces after your shift along with the rest of the volunteer team

**Your desired set of skills:**

- Experience in teaching, preferably in early childhood education
- An awareness and interest in migration issues and sensitivity to working with vulnerable communities
- Motivation and passion for working alongside a dynamic and hard-working team

Volunteers are responsible for covering transport costs to and from Athens. Shared accommodation with single rooms is provided in our volunteer flat for €12 per night.
