Uniting digitalization roadmaps, experience design, process optimization, application delivery, systems management, and technology modernization across some 170 products and services, the department links business ambition with operational excellence—from intuitive employee experiences and precision payroll to data-driven decision making, intelligent automation, and AI enablement. The Corporate Experience Solutions (ITSCX) unit serves as the World Bank Group’s hub for designing, delivering, and evolving the digital interactions that connect our people and partners to the organization.
Loosely aligned with the “systems of engagement” concept, this unit focuses on the full spectrum of stakeholder experiences encompassing employees, shareholders, partners, the public, and beyond. Our purview includes high-impact corporate platforms such as the intranet, external websites, and tools supporting employee engagement, Board relations, recruitment, onboarding, talent development, learning, travel, time recording, desk booking, and other solutions that touch the day-to-day work of the WBG’s global workforce and millions of external users. These are mission-critical, high visibility products, where speed, intuitiveness, and agility are paramount. Employee Self-Service team within ITSCX provides WBG employees with intuitive, self-service portals and mobile applications to interact with corporate services, such as HR, IT, time recording, leave, approvals, and more, following digital workplace best practices Duties and accountabilities: A.
Mobile Development • Design, build, and integrate mobile applications with enterprise backend systems, APIs, workflow, and approval platforms. • Ensure performance, scalability, and security across mobile platforms, including low-bandwidth optimization and OWASP-compliant implementations. • Implement robust integration patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, centralized API orchestration, APNS push notifications). • Diagnose and resolve issues across mobile, middleware, and backend layers; continuously improving code quality, testing, and deployment practices. • Collaborate with Agile teams to design, deliver, and evolve mobile solutions aligned to product roadmaps and enterprise architecture standards. B. AI / Agentic AI Development • Design and develop agentic AI solutions including multi-step workflows, tool use, sub-agent orchestration (LangChain, AutoGen, LangGraph). • Build AI-powered applications leveraging available hyperscaler AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Claude). • Architect end-to-end AI systems covering planning, memory, reasoning, reflection, and enterprise integration across ITSCO products. • Develop advanced AI capabilities using RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering to improve contextual accuracy and reasoning. • Enable operationalization of AI agents via CI/CD integration, observability (e.g., OpenTelemetry), evaluation frameworks, and reusable SDKs/components.
