The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) is a private diplomacy organisation founded on the principles of humanity, impartiality and independence. Its mission is to help prevent, mitigate, and resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation. HD is presently looking for a:
**Donor Relations Associate**
**Remote work from within Europe (Ideally Paris, Berlin, London or Vienna)**
**Starting date: As soon as possible**
Join our External Relations team as a **Donor Relations Associate** and play a key role in strengthening HD’s partnerships with donors. You’ll support the management of core and multi-project grants, ensuring compliance, timely reporting, and strategic donor engagement — all while helping us diversify our funding sources. You’ll be working at the heart of HD’s donor strategy — building relationships that fuel our mission. This role offers meaningful impact, professional growth, and the chance to work with a passionate, global team.
The position is embedded in HD’s External Relations team. The team combines donor relations and fundraising with external communications functions and works to ensure that HD’s income meets the organisation’s needs. The External Relations team develops and maintains close relations with government and private donors, coordinates the organisation’s efforts to diversify its funding, and supports programme staff across regions in their fundraising efforts. The ER team ensures the coordination of core and multi-project grants implemented across HD teams.
**The key responsibilities are:**
- Support HD teams in complying with grant requirements and ensure high-quality, on-time reporting
- Help identify new funding opportunities, and support proposal development for grant renewals
- Maintain and update the donor relations database with key insights and portfolio data
- Coordinate and contribute to donor visits, meetings and events, providing logistical and strategic support
- Analyse donor trends and brief internal teams to enhance engagement strategies
**The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:**
- Master of Science in international relations, international law or another relevant field
- At least 3 years’ experience with donor relationships and grant agreements in the non-profit sector
- Experience with information sharing and liaising between teams
- Excellent English communication, editing and writing skills (bilingual with French an advantage)
- Precision, thoroughness, and excellent attention to detail
