Plan International started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in which the country including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan international Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.
Through a five-interconnected, gender transformative and context-fit country objectives, PIE intends along with the various stakeholders at all levels to continue delivering positive and transformative changes so that “Children, especially girls, and young people grow up in an enabling environment, realizing their rights and contributing in both development and humanitarian settings as active agents of change”.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
You will support project implementation and data collection for monitoring and evaluation at the PU level under the guidance and supervision of the Project Manager and the assigned MERL Coordinator for the project. You will contribute to ensuring a seamless integration and quality of deliverables in line with PIE Country Strategy. You will manage and maintain beneficiary and project data for livelihood activities, ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting in compliance with donor and organizational requirements.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collect, verify, and organize project data; maintain accurate beneficiary and project databases.
- Track participation, attendance, and assistance under livelihood activities.
- Support data analysis, generate reports/dashboards, and contribute to donor and organizational reporting.
- Ensure data quality through verification, resolving discrepancies, and escalating complex issues.
- Maintain secure handling of sensitive information, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
- Provide administrative/logistical support, contribute to audits, and document project achievements and lessons learned.
- Coordinate with field teams and partners to ensure timely, accurate data and effective project monitoring.
- Support MEAL through data collection, management, and reporting (baseline, mid-term, final).
- Analyze data, document results, changes, and recommendations with gender/inclusion focus.
- Review case studies, success stories, and lessons learned for reporting.
- Coach partners on data quality, consistency, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Document and share best practices across teams.
- Plan International has a robust global policy for Safeguarding and Gender Equality and Inclusion standards, ensuring staff and associates within your scope strictly comply with these principles and guidelines.
- You will be trusted to take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by your supervisor on need basis.
**What we are looking for:**
- Someone with university degree in relevant subject.
- Should have 1-3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience preferably with an international organization.
- Should have experience in planning and facilitating training/workshops.
- Should be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.
- Should have strong analytical skills and the ability to process large and complex data.
- Should demonstrated writing skills (report writing)
- Someone with experience working with children and understanding their special needs.
- Should have experience with rights based participatory MER approaches.
- Should have excellent interpersonal communication skills and team work abilities.
- Someone with high computer literacy with a full knowledge of office applications.
- Should have understanding of and commitment to the promotion of gender equality, child protection and inclusion of the most vulnerable.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines and targets.
