**Job Highlight** Work at the centre of UNOPS global leadership, supporting the Executive Director (ED)’s external engagements through strategic insights, executive briefings, and strategic coordination across the organization for high impact **Role Purpose** Reporting to the Management Advisor, the Management Specialist delivers strategic briefings and partner intelligence which supports the ED’s high-level global engagements and helps strengthen UNOPS positioning with key partners. **Functions / Key Results Expected** 1. Executive Briefings and Engagement Support • Coordinate and drive the preparation of briefing materials for the ED’s external high-level engagements, including meetings with partners, participation in external events, UN-wide fora, and inter-agency platforms (including the General Assembly and Executive Board). • Provide quality control for briefing materials, ensuring they are evidence-based, informed by broader contextual developments, and strategically relevant for use by the ED while engaging with partners. • Keep abreast of and evaluate internal and external trends, UNOPS strategic context, and emerging trends in the international development cooperation sphere to inform positioning efforts within UNOPS mandate and existing capacity. • Ensure inputs to briefing materials are provided in a timely manner. • Leverage key internal and external trends to inform the development of briefing materials • Ensure that briefings are action-oriented, supporting UNOPS ambitions to scale up and speed up operations globally. • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment in handling sensitive information and missions and ensure the development of the required briefing packages. 2. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Serve as a liaison between the EO and Partnerships and Futures Group (PFG), ensuring that strategic insights and partner-related knowledge are effectively channelled to inform briefing materials and statements prepared for the ED. • Coordinate with HQ units and field offices to identify relevant stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and provide guidance on briefing preparation processes and content to ensure comprehensive, high-quality inputs. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior managers and key stakeholders across the organization. 3. Strategic Intelligence and Analytical Support • Synthesize and provide strategic intelligence for the development of high-level analyses, reports, and presentations. • Evaluate emerging international development trends and screen opportunities through the research of events, publications, and announcements. • Based on qualitative and quantitative analyses, propose strategic engagements for the ED, thus contributing to the diversification of the UNOPS global partner portfolio in line with UNOPS' strategic objectives • Leverage external benchmarking to propose ideas for improvement. 4. Knowledge Building and Sharing • Support the organization, facilitation, and delivery of training and learning sessions on organizational learning and planning topics. • Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and Communities of Practice (CoPs), contributing insights and lessons learned from the implementation of organizational learning and planning projects/initiatives. • Conduct research on organizational learning and planning--related topics and contribute to the drafting of reports, summaries and briefing notes. • Identify, review and provide quantitative and qualitative analytical inputs to inform discussions and decision-making for the ED • Build and maintain  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes within the EO. • Provide regular feedback on processes, systems and tools to ensure continuous improvement of processes within the EO. • Leverage AI and other digital tools to enhance efficiency, innovation, and quality of deliverables. • Lead special projects as assigned by the Management Advisor. **Skills** Data Analysis, Executive Support, Partnerships, Project Management, Report Writing, Research, Stakeholder Engagement **Education Requirements** Required Education: • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in development studies, international affairs, political science or any related discipline any discipline with seven years of relevant experience OR • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any of the above disciplines with five years of relevant experience is required **Experience Requirements** Required • Relevant experience in coordination roles, ideally within international organizations. • Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting, writing and editing, and support to senior executives’ offices Desired • Experience in development or humanitarian contexts is desired. • Experience of working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in a developing country is desired. **Language Requirements** LanguageProficiency LevelRequirementEngl
