You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Developing and directing strategic plans and policies to implement programs and concepts, such as for a Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) or Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ). Managing and executing the Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, to include developing and providing input to the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Program/Budget Review (PBR) cycle. Serving as a primary advisor to senior leadership (e.g., General/Flag Officer, SES) on policy, program, and resource allocation, requiring interaction with entities such as OSW, the Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands. Exercising supervisory responsibilities to include planning and directing the work of a directorate, managing resources, and appraising performance. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
