**Joint Office / Country Program by the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA)** Status: Unaccompanied posting Location: Port-au-Prince, Haiti (with regular field visits) Duration of contract: 3 years contract (with possible extension) Start date: July/August 2026 **LWF World Service** is the humanitarian and development arm of the Lutheran World Federation. We are a widely recognized, international, faith-based organization working in 23 countries. Together with the international network and partner organizations in the ACT Alliance, NCA is able to reach millions of people each year and help make a positive difference around the world. NCA has provided assistance to the people in Haiti since 1984. NCA is a partnership-based organization with a strong emphasis on local participation, civil society and inclusion. For additional information on our work in Haiti, please visit: NCA Haiti. In Haiti, we, as a LWF/NCA Joint Office, have worked together since 2018. While LWF acts as the formal employer, the appointment is on behalf of both organizations, and the LWF/NCA Representative holds the legal representation for both organizations. In addition to its own staff, the LWF/NCA Joint Office/Country Program in Port-au-Prince currently hosts four international organizations. The Representative serves as the formal host for these entities. **Purpose** The Representative will provide effective leadership, representation and management of the LWF/NCA Joint Office (JO) / Country Program (CP) in Haiti to achieve the intended results, outcomes and impacts for the targeted population. This includes overseeing the implementation of LWF/NCA Haiti Country Strategy and the corresponding operational plan. Programmatically, the LWF/NCA focuses on Protection & Gender Justice, DRR and Climate and Environmental Stewardship, Economic Development and Food Security (EDFS), and Climate-Resilient WASH. Working extensively with local partners, the JO/CP aims to offer a coherent, credible, and values driven presence in Haiti that combines humanitarian response, resilience building, and long term development. The Representative will actively monitor and analyse contextual developments in the country and the region and identify potential risks and opportunities. S/he will have a particular responsibility for nurturing collaborative working relations with current partners, leading in the development of new partnerships and funding, while ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and risk mitigation to maintain a sustainable and compliant program portfolio. **Required qualifications** University degree in a relevant field with strong expertise on issues related to human rights, sustainable development, and/or humanitarian response. **Knowledge and experience** Minimum 5 years of work experience at management level in humanitarian assistance or development-oriented programs within an international environment, preferably with church-related or non-governmental organizations. Further training and expertise in relevant areas (e.g. strategic leadership, management, organizational change and people management, advocacy, climate justice, finance, monitoring and evaluation). Proven experience with and ability to lead teams, to coach, nurture and motivate colleagues, creating a conducive working environment, including a track record in enabling teams to deliver rigorous planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of programmatic work. Proven capacity to model organizational values and champion innovation, resilience, and adaptability in the face of change. Demonstrated success in expanding organizational funding through effective donor engagement, consistent resource mobilization strategies, and the implementation of robust financial management and compliance practices. Proven capacity to navigate strategic processes of collaboration between international agencies and actors.
