Duty Station: Brussels based only, no remote option Contract length: 1 year with possibility of extension Are you based in Brussels and looking for a new career opportunity? Do you have an in-depth knowledge of Brussels donor ecosystem and experience building partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders? If so, this role might be for you. ## **Duties & Responsibilities** **Representation / Business development** - In cooperation with relevant functions at RDD and HRD and in line with the RDD Business Strategy and Advocacy Strategy, develop engagement plans with relevant DGs including- but not limited to ECHO, INTPA, ENEST, MENA - Direct engagement with representatives / focal points of relevant DGs, intel gathering and maintaining a contacts tracker up to date - Building relationships with Brussels-based international organisations and INGOs, foundations, local authorities and relevant platforms - Map and engage Global Gateway implementing partners ( e.g. GIZ, AFD, EIB, private sector) - Identify entry points for PIN in investment-linked programmes - Position PIN as a delivery partner for CSO engamenent programming - Facilitate introductions to senior CP and HQ management - Organise events or ensure participation existing forums that show-case our thought leadership in our priority flagships relevant for EC development funding and ECHO with the aim of establishing relationships, building potential donor or consortium partners. ### **Advocacy** - Build a relationship with relevant MEP´s (with a strong focus on CZ MEPs) - Build a relationship with CZ Permanent representation - Contribute to shaping PIN’s positions and advocacy priorities in relation to MFF/ GEI, Global Gateway and other files connected to development and humanitarian agenda - Active contribution to exchange on MFF/ GG files between CZ/ EU level - Support and coordinate high-level meetings, events and advocacy initiatives at EU level - Coordinate with Relief and Development Department Advocacy and Strategy Leads, when applicable also Human Rights Deparment Advocacy - Coordinate with EPD on advocacy **Alliance2015 / Hub agenda** - Where relevant, streamlining the communication between the Hub and PIN RDD - Attending bi-weekly Hub coordination meetings - Supporting selected Hub-led initiatives aiming at advancing members ‘joint effort (positioning or advocacy), e.g. regional coordination, Global Gateway country-level mapping, and EU climate funding mapping. ## **Requirements** - Experience working for an INGO or donor agencies; - Good command of tools such as MS Word, Excel, Confluence; knowledge of Power BI and MS Navision is an advantage; - Demonstrated ability to perform well under time pressure, manage multiple tasks, and work independently and effectively in fast-paced, multicultural environment; - Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills; - Excellent communication, writing, editing and proofreading skills; - Excellent understanding of the European Commission as a donor - Proven understanding of the international aid landscape - Proven experience with donor engagement / positioning and advocacy - Proven experience building partnerships with different types of stakeholders, e.g. civil society, private sector, research institutions, international organisations etc. - Experience with event coordination is an asset - Experience with data analysis and donor due diligence processes - Dependable and interested in contributing to different team environments; - English language is required; and French and Czech is a significant advantage **PIN Offers** - Background and professionalism of the largest Czech non-governmental organization; - Salary according to the PIN salary scale dependent on the cost of living in the specific location (Brussels); **Time off and Rest** - 25 days of annual leave; - 3 days of sick leave - Professional Development - Free access to e-learning platforms. - Global PIN Induction Training. - Access to the PIN Learning Hub. - Individually tailored capacity-building opportunities.
