Full Description
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Applying life cycle support concepts and procedures. Using automated systems (supply chain management software, item management programs, operational supply systems, dedicated logistics management software) to maintain/analyze data. Independently analyzing and resolving difficult issues and problems. Interpret policy direction for specific operating requirements; and responding to problems or questions involving implementation of guidelines. Organizing work, setting priorities, and determining resource requirements; determining short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes. Developing and managing a budget for the procurement of material and services in support of managed items for future years as well as maintaining and tracking adequate funding for current year. NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at this grade level. Candidates may also qualify at the GS-11 level based on the following education requirements: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if in a related field such as supply, logistics, or material management. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
