**Job Highlight**
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the quality assurance of critical financial and IT systems within a leading UN organization, including as part of the Process Innovation and Digitalization (PID) Programme. The role offers exposure to a variety of technologies and financial domains, collaboration with a global team, and the chance to leverage AI tools to enhance testing processes.

**Job Specific Context**
Reporting to the QA Team Lead, the QA Associate will ensure that software is tested according to Quality Assurance mechanisms and identified standards. Testing will be done throughout the SDLC, from testing requirements during the development phase to testing before functionality is moved to production. The QA Associate will communicate with business stakeholders, business analysts, development teams, and the deployment team.  The ideal candidate for this position can quickly and easily learn to use applications of medium to high complexity and is willing to continue with QA or Technology education as appropriate to ITG. Given the nature of the position, it is essential that the incumbent effectively demonstrates the ability to accurately estimate work effort, keep commitments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Last but not least, we’re looking for a QA  Associate who is excited to use new AI tools to work more efficiently and improve the quality of our testing artifacts.

This role primarily supports projects delivered as part of the Process Innovation and Digitalization (PID) Programme. This is a project-funded position with an expected end date of December 2029, subject to the continued availability of funding and performance.

This position is home-based; however, the incumbent’s working hours must include a reasonable overlap with Bangkok (ICT, UTC+7) business hours, to be agreed with the supervisor, as the QA team and direct supervisor are based in Thailand. The incumbent must ensure access to a stable, high-speed internet connection, as the role involves continuous use of enterprise financial systems, cloud-based testing environments, and AI-assisted QA tools.

**Role Purpose**
The QA Associate ensures the quality and reliability of UNOPS IT applications, with a primary focus on financial management systems and IPSAS-compliant solutions, through comprehensive testing strategies, contributing to the successful delivery of projects and the efficiency of organizational operations. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, finance business stakeholders, and solutions designers to identify and resolve defects, validate financial data integrity, improve testing processes, and promote a culture of quality within the IT Group.

• Liaise with development team members to identify and reproduce bugs and errors identified by end users

• Execute all levels of software testing (System, Integration, and Regression) for UNOPS IT applications

• Work together with development team members and business analysts to understand the scope of the projects and provide objective feedback

• Act as a backup tester for other functional areas than the primary assigned.
