**Project:** Youth Voice & Empowerment (YVE) Project
**Location:** Informal settlements and project implementation areas
**Position Type:** Contract / Project-based
## **Role Purpose**
The Disability Inclusion Facilitator will strengthen disability inclusion across YVE interventions by removing participation barriers, supporting inclusive project delivery, building staff capacity, and promoting equitable access to leadership, skills development, finance, and employment opportunities.
## **Key Responsibilities**
The Facilitator will:
- Support inclusive implementation of youth leadership, livelihoods, and financial inclusion activities.
- Promote active participation and leadership of youth with disabilities.
- Conduct accessibility assessments and support reasonable accommodations.
- Mobilize youth with disabilities through community networks and OPDs.
- Deliver disability inclusion awareness and inclusive facilitation support to staff, partners, and youth leaders.
- Mentor and empower youth with disabilities to engage in economic and leadership opportunities.
- Support inclusive monitoring, participant profiling, and learning documentation.
- Promote safe, respectful, and safeguarding compliant project environments.
### **Expected Deliverables**
- Increased participation of youth with disabilities across YVE interventions.
- Accessibility improvements implemented in project activities.
- Inclusion capacity strengthened among staff and partners.
- Regular inclusion feedback and learning documented.
### **Reporting Line**
Reports to the Youth Voice & Empowerment Inclusion Lead with technical collaboration with the Interventions Team.
**Required Qualifications & Experience**
- Youth with disability aged 18-35 years (strongly encouraged to apply).
- Minimum Diploma qualification.
- Experience in disability inclusion, youth programming, community engagement, or social inclusion work.
- Knowledge of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) is an added advantage.
- Experience working in informal settlements or underserved communities preferred.
- Strong facilitation, mentorship, and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy (reasonable accommodation provided where necessary).
- Prior disability inclusion training/certification is an advantage.
