Job Title Consultant-Instructional Designer LEARN Location Global - GO (Primary) Category Consultant Date Needed By 5/22/2026 Scope of Work (SOW) **Duration** From (mm/dd/yy): 05/22/2026 To (mm/dd/yy): 11/22/2026 **Place of Assignment** Remote (detail location): Remote based on consultant’s residence/location. **Travel** No N/A, no travel planned **Services required from International Medical Corps to support assignment** *International Medical Corps will provide access to LEARN project* *SharePoint files, relevant training materials, and coordination with* *LEARN project staff and partners to support the consultant’s work per the scope and deliverables outlined below.* **1. BACKGROUND TO THE ASSIGNMENT:** *The International Medical Corps (IMC) LEARN Project seeks to engage a qualified Instructional Designer Consultant to support the LEARN IMC Instructional Designer over a 6-month consultancy period. This role will assist in instructional design, development, and deployment of e-learning modules and related training content aligned with project goals. The consultancy may be extended based on workload and project needs.* **2. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:** *To support the LEARN project team and deliverables in various online module curriculum design work.* **3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:** *The Instructional Designer Consultant will:* - *Collaborate closely with the IMC LEARN’s Specialist Instructional Designer, project team, and subject matter experts internally and externally* - *Assist in the design, development, and refinement of instructional materials including course outlines, facilitator guides, storyboards, e-learning modules, multimedia content, and assessments.* - *Apply best practices in adult learning and e-learning instructional design methodologies to enhance learner engagement and outcomes with a strong focus on visual clarity, instructional flow, and learner-friendly presentation.* - *Support content adaptation for the LEARN (LMS) platform to ensure accessibility and quality compliance.* - *Participate in quality assurance testing and revision cycles of training modules.* - *Assist with training and technical user support for end-users of e-learning courses, as needed, within our LMS.* - *Provide regular progress updates and deliverables, according to agreed timelines.* **4. DELIVERABLES DESCRIPTION:** *•Instructional design plans, draft and final storyboards, and content drafts for modules in appropriate software including MS PowerPoint and Word.* *•All content source files provided in a usable format (i.e., e-learning source files in Articulate Storyline and Rise, other multimedia source files, Microsoft Suite files, etc.)* *•Accessible Articulate Storyline or Rise e-learning modules according to industry standards* *•(6-8 Finalized Storyline or Rise e-learning modules (SCORM zip files) uploaded on the LEARN LMS platform.* *•Reports on content testing in our learning management system (LMS).* *•Report on revision outcomes via the Articulate 360 Review tool and other methods.* *•Uploading content to the LMS and confirming functionality.* *•Documentation of instructional design processes and user guides, as applicable.* **DUE DATE(S)** **By end of Consultancy** - Exact deliverable deadlines to be discussed with consultant once onboarded. **4.1. Other systems may include Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and other storage platforms Proven experience in instructional design, preferably supporting health/security related training projects. Familiarity with e-learning platforms and content management systems. Strong skills in multimedia instructional development authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, PowerPoint, Canva or Adobe Illustrator, video editing software). **Experience** *(Identify specific experiences that are necessary for this position. For example, experience using certain systems / method or experience in a certain sector)* Intermediate level skills (needing to use triggers/coding, interaction) in multimedia and instructional development authoring tools (Articulate 360, which would include Articulate Storyline, Rise, Replay and Rise. Additionally, skills in the Microsoft software suite, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel may be needed. Use of Canva or Adobe Illustrator, video editing software such as Vyond, added to the e-learning modules or stand-alone). Samples of prior e-learning course development will be required in Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise 360 in an accessible format (e.g., without the use of screenshots, with alt tags for images) **Competency** *List technical expertise and soft skills required. Not exceeding 7 points* Ability to work within translation AI tools (outside of Articulate 360), to translate content into various languages.
