Overview The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and the UN Department of Field Support (DFS) are searching for a consulting firm or a team of individual consultants to assist in the design and conduct of the joint evaluation of the collaboration between those two organizations. The specific purpose of the evaluation is to respond to General Assembly resolution 60/266 which requested the Secretary-General to strengthen coordination between the Department of Peacekeeping Operations of the Secretariat and the United Nations Volunteer programme for the use of volunteers in peacekeeping operations and to evaluate the contribution of the United Nations Volunteers as a component of peacekeeping operations. A joint UNV-DFS management team will oversee the development of terms of reference, the evaluation report and process.
