**Consultancy:** Business Development Lead Global Latin America – CAFOD
**Location:** Colombia (Remotely supporting our work across the region)
**Duration:** 12 months, (Approx 20 days/month)
**Closing: 31st of May 2026 @23:00**
**Do you have experience in resource mobilisation from institutional donors for NGOs, international cooperation, grant management and working with local civil society organisations in Latin America? Are you fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish? Do you have the legal right to reside and work in Colombia?**
CAFOD, the official cooperation agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas Internationalis, is looking for a consultant based in Colombia to support our Latin America Programme. We work in Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Join our international team and contribute to our work with Resilient Livelihoods, Food Sovereignty, Human Rights, governance and Peacebuilding, Climate and Environmental Justice, and Emergency Preparedness and Response, with our partners. The main focus of the consultancy is supporting our work across the region, but it will also provide some support (circa 20%) to the growth of our fundraising for gender justice work globally.
**Expected Outputs:**
- Resource Mobilisation to support CAFOD's Latin America portfolio
- Thematic support for CAFOD's fundraising for its Gender Justice work (Global) – 20%
- Grant Management & Project Compliance
- Support for programme/proposal development and partners' fundraising capacity
- Support in the preparation of reports and proposals for international donors
**Essential Experience:**
- A track record of resource mobilisation success with institutional donors within a development/humanitarian NGO context in Latin America
- Understanding and first-hand experience of institutional funding work within the international development sector, including leading proposal design and development and reporting.
- Experience of representing NGOs towards embassies and missions.
- Experience of using programme cycle management tools and developing Theories of Change
- Able/committed to complement the capacity of partner organisations and colleagues.
- Finance management and budgeting understanding and experience.
- Thematic experience in Gender Justice and one or more of CAFOD thematic areas
- Direct experience with a values-based partnership approach.
- Experience in developing proposals for US and European Donors, including the EU
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, international relations, development studies, administration, or related fields); a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Applicants should already have the right to reside and work in Colombia
