**What we are looking for:** Ready to lead a high‑impact consortium in Sudan? NRC Sudan is hiring a **Consortium Manager**! We’re looking for a strategic leader to drive the development of our consortium programmes, build strong relationships with partners and donors, and ensure full compliance with donor and internal requirements. NRC Sudan leads an ECHO‑funded Education in Emergencies and Protection Consortium with a broad network of national and international partners - working together to deliver safe, inclusive, and protective services for conflict‑affected communities. The Consortium Manager will provide overall leadership across both consortia and ensure impactful coordination, delivery, and programme direction. In this role, you’ll head the Consortium Management Unit (CMU), serve as the secretariat for the consortia, and report directly to the Head of Programmes. You’ll be the strategic anchor - shaping programme direction, managing operations, and coordinating consortium inputs to ensure seamless project implementation. **What you will do:** ***Some of your generic responsibilities include:*** - Provide overall direction and leadership of the Consortium to ensure seamless operations, leveraging complementarity among partners - Coordinate with consortium members to ensure high quality implementation of activities, compliance with donor and consortium rules, and accountability to beneficiaries. - Oversee day-to-day management of the project, including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and budget spending, ensuring project is always on scope and schedule - Represent the Consortium towards relevant stakeholders, including national authorities, donors and counterparts, promoting the best interests of Consortium partners - Line Manage and supervise the work of the Consortium Management Unit; carry out any needed recruitments, including for consultants - Lead the consultations, design and preparation of the next phase of the Consortium based on evidenced needs, donor expectations and drawing from partners’ diverse expertise - Contribute to fundraising initiatives to diversify the Consortium’s portfolio, actively seeking new relationships with donors and developing funding proposals - Oversee and monitor the consortium partners ‘spending including the management of the consortium management unit budget - Ensure effective coordination and communication among consortium members, steering and technical committees, programmatic and finance/support teams across partners. ***Some of your specific responsibilities include:*** - Support decision-making processes within the Consortium by promoting productive discussions where partners reach agreements in line with the Consortium’s strategic objectives - Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, donor’s strategy, requirements and expectations and guarantee donor reports and other Consortium products are developed in time and with quality - Ensure the project adapts to changes in the context and donor requests as relevant, integrating lessons learned to better respond to beneficiary needs - Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure that consortium interventions are complementary to national response mechanisms and to the interventions of other actors present in target areas. - Facilitate the development and implementation of the Consortium´s communications and advocacy strategy - Cultivate and strengthen positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders and guarantee the Consortium’s participation in relevant coordination forums at the various administrative levels. - Develop project proposals in collaboration with relevant consortium member staff and coordinate input for reporting to donors. - Responsible for quality control of donor applications and reports, for content and timeliness. - Responsible for full grants and proposals management; - Ensure that all grant files are up to date and that copies are kept in the field and sent to HQ in a timely manner; - Lead and/or facilitate consortium committees meetings as per the consortium governance which includes steering committee, programme committee, technical working groups, etc. Please download the **detailed job description** to learn more about the position. **What you will bring:** - Minimum BA in relevant areas preferably. - Minimum 5 years of humanitarian experience across multiple context with at least 2 years’ experience of youth programmes. - The candidate must have expetience managing Consortia. - At least 3 years project management experience of managing multi-million (EURO) projects. - Experience in consortium management or extensive involvement in a consortium, with a multi-year duration. - Experience developing training tools, manuals, information management systems for humanitarian action and accountability to affected people. - Sel
