Full Description
You must meet the Specialized Experience or the Education Requirements to qualify for Administrative Services Specialist, as described below. For GS-09: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-07 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for GS-09 includes (applicants must meet three of the four specialized experience statements): Experience providing administrative and technical support for federal acquisition and procurement activities. Experience supporting Contracting Officer Representatives (COR) in contract administration and contractor management. Experience analyzing administrative processes for improvement recommendations. Experience preparing and communicating technical and administrative information to stakeholders. Or, you may also qualify by meeting education requirements: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or, LL.B. or J.D., if related. You may also use a combination of your education and experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements and may be computed by first determining the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
