**Background**

SLM is a monitoring, evaluation, and learning firmthat provides bespoke solutions to complex global challenges. We partner with leading international donors, multilateral organizations, and implementing partners to advance evidence-based decision-making.

SLM is currently preparing a proposal for a large-scale, mixed-methods Situation Analysis focusing on education access, continuity, and vulnerability in Myanmar. This highly strategic study will inform sector-wide planning, resource allocation, and resilience programming in a complex and evolving operating environment.

We are seeking exceptional analytical and research professionals to join our proposed team. The anticipated period of performance is **June 2026 to January 2027.**

**Role Overview:**

The Team Leader will spearhead the design, implementation, and integration of this high-profile mixed-methods study. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing both the quantitative analysis of national household microdata and targeted qualitative fieldwork, ultimately producing actionable, policy-level recommendations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead the inception phase, refining research questions, methodology, and the analytical framework.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team to ensure the seamless integration and triangulation of quantitative and qualitative findings.

- Draft and finalize comprehensive analytical reports, synthesizing complex data into practical programming considerations and resource allocation strategies.

- Oversee rigorous quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with ethical, safeguarding, and risk-sensitive research standards.

- Deliver high-level presentations and stakeholder dissemination materials.

**Required Qualifications:**

- **Language & Communication:** Exceptional native or bilingual fluency in written and spoken English. Proven ability to draft high-level policy documents, reports, and technical briefs.
- **Education:** Advanced university degree (at minimum a Master's) in Education, Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.

- **Experience:** Minimum ten (10) years of relevant professional experience leading research, analytical studies, or policy-oriented assignments in the education or social sectors.

- **Technical Expertise:** Demonstrated experience leading mixed-methods studies and coordinating quantitative and qualitative research components.

- **Desirable:** Professional working proficiency in Burmese; experience conducting analyses in lower-middle-income, fragile, or complex operating environments; prior collaboration with international organizations.
