Project Summary
Region 3 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM), hosted by Gibson D. Lewis Library at the
University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth, Texas, serves the states of
Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas. The Regional Medical Library (RML)
supports the mission of the NNLM to provide health professionals, the public health workforce, educators, and
the public with equal access to biomedical and health information resources and data. The RML offers diverse
trainings, funding mechanisms, and regional and national programming, with a focus on collaboration and
continuous assessment to develop a highly-trained workforce and serve as trusted ambassadors between the
National Library of Medicine and the communities they serve.
