Regional Director of Danmission– Asia (Phnom Penh)

Danmission is a Danish faith-based organisation working for peace, justice, and sustainable development across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Denmark.

**About the role**
As Regional Director, you will lead our regional office in Phnom Penh and have overall responsibility for Danmission’s engagement in Cambodia and Myanmar.

You will be responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the office with ten staff members, and oversee two country programmes with twenty partner organisations, ensuring strong programme delivery, effective team management, and solid collaboration with partners and headquarters in Denmark. The position reports to the International Director and forms part of Danmission’s global management team.

A key priority in the coming years will be to strengthen and grow Danmission’s work in Asia through high-quality programme implementation and increased funding from institutional donors. It is important that you can lead change processes while maintaining staff satisfaction and motivation.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Growing the project portfolio by attracting new funding from institutional donors and foundations in the region
- Strengthening programme quality, learning and documentation
- Supporting Danmission’s ambitious localisation agenda and strong partner ownership
- Ensuring sound financial management, compliance, and administrative systems
- Contributing actively to Danmission’s global management team and overall organisational strategy

**What you bring**
To succeed in this role, you have solid experiencein international development and programme management, and several years of leadership experience from Asia or other international environments.

You have a demonstrated track record in attracting external funding and are skilled at networking and building relations. Your communication skills are strong, and it is an advantage if you speak Danish or another Scandinavian language. Finally, you are committed to Danmissions values as a faith-based organisation, associated with the Danish Lutheran Church
