## About us

**Desired start date: 01/06/2026**
**Duration of the mission: 15/08/2026**

**Location: Beirut and Saida**

**SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI)** is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.

## About the mission

Lebanon is suffering from a massive and complex humanitarian crisis. More than 1 million individuals are displaced and hundreds of thousands remain in hard-to-reach areas of the South where services and supplies are less and less available.

SI is supporting both population groups. Support is provided to IDPs in collective sites through WASH, Shelter and Food Security interventions. Communities in hard-to-reach areas are supported through emergency distributions organized through convoys.

At the same time, the acute needs of IDPs and conflict-affected communities intertwines with the needs of Syrian refugees. SI keeps supporting all population groups through humanitarian and longer-term interventions.
