INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. THIS IS AN AIR RESERVE TECHNICIAN OFFICER POSITION. This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer position located at 42 INTELLIGENCE SQ with the military rank of ???????Lt Col, AFSC: ???????014N. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Must be fully qualified and experienced intelligence officer preferably having operational experience in at least two of the below intelligence disciplines/operations: HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, Targeting, Acquisition Intelligence, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination. Experience desired in ISR operations, and TCPED of national, Global Hawk, U2 and Predator/Reaper Platforms, as one of the two ISR operational areas. Senior level knowledge of world-wide ISR operational requirements and associated processes to support Combatant Commands and Theater Air Force Component Commands and understanding of ISR concepts, capabilities, and operations. Knowledge must also include laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect Flight ISR operational programs and related support resources. Knowledge of and ability to formulate operational and training plans and policies pertaining to ISR operations and training and unit operational and training activities. Knowledge of advanced management and organizational principles and practices and major issues, program goals, missions, functions, administrative operations of the ISR Group, 10 AF, and HQ AFRC. Knowledge and understanding of a comprehensive range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/organizational techniques, and military command. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making (to include civilian and military). Knowledge of operational and training programs throughout the group in order to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on substantive operating programs. Ability to plan and organize workload and activities, manage multiple taskings, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to integrate Air Force Reserves into ISR operations and maintenance missions to include training while ensuring command/control oversight and tasking authorities are properly executed.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS: This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. The incumbent's regular assignments are ART duties; however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA). As necessary, to meet special or essential unscheduled activities, may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty with brief advance notice.
