PROJECT ABSTRACT
This project abstract presents the Integrated Networks of Scholars in Global Health Research Training (INSIGHT) Program. We have faculty members across our multidisciplinary and multi-institutional consortium working with institutions in the U.S., sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The program’s strategic focus is on a broad range of global health research areas, including combatting the global HIV epidemic and associated co-morbidities, emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, childhood chronic diseases, and non-communicable diseases.

A vision statement encompassing five Themes – Global Impact, Multidisciplinary Science, Integrated Training for All, Next Generation of U.S. Health Researchers and a Highly Committed Environment– shape our work. Key innovations strengthening this proposal include leveraging our institutional commitments in global research training, amalgamating our strong clinical, behavioral, and laboratory science foundations, enacting a participatory monitoring and evaluation program, and launching emerging leaders.
