Founded in 2015, INARA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides life-altering medical, mental health and psychosocial support and essential care to children impacted by human-induced and natural disasters. Fostering a future where we empower children to shape their own dignified lives.
INARA areas of intervention include comprehensive medical services, mental health and psychosocial support, education in emergencies, economic empowerment, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiatives, and rapid emergency response. INARA emphasizes long-term care, ensuring that children receive continuous treatment and rehabilitation.
**JOB SUMMARY:**
The Head of Partnership and Development at INARA plays a crucial role in the organization's mission to provide life-altering medical assistance to children affected by conflict. The position is responsible for developing, managing, and executing all aspects of INARA’s partnerships, outreach initiatives, fundraising, and institutional funding. The position holder will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to cultivate relationships, think creatively, drive growth through partnerships and outreach, and conduct research to identify funding opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Partnership Development:**
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify, assess, pursue, and close new partnership opportunities with organizations, institutions, and individuals.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential partners who share INARA’s mission and values.
- Establish a clear system for tracking the progress of partnership opportunities, ensuring that potential partners are engaged at the right time and most effectively.
- Create customized proposals for potential partners, tailoring each proposal to the unique interests and capabilities of the partner.
- Foster strategic alliances and collaborations, such as co-branded campaigns and joint events, to strengthen partnerships further.
- Continually assess the performance of partnerships to ensure alignment with INARA’s goals and impact metrics.
- Develop and implement partnership-specific marketing and promotional strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
1. **Fundraising and Institutional Funding:**
- Research and identify potential sources of institutional funding, including grants, foundations, government agencies, and international organizations.
- Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes campaigns, events, and individual donor outreach.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that fundraising activities align with INARA's budgetary needs and financial sustainability goals.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with major donors and philanthropic foundations.
- Monitor the landscape of grant opportunities, RFPs, and grant deadlines, and ensure timely and accurate submission of grant proposals.
- Develop and maintain an organized database of grant opportunities, deadlines, and application requirements.
- Create and implement strategies to engage individual and corporate donors, emphasizing the impact of their contributions on the lives of children affected by human-induced and natural disasters.
- Explore innovative and creative fundraising approaches, including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer campaigns, and online giving.
1. **Partnership Management:**
- Regularly communicate with existing partners to assess their satisfaction and to identify areas for collaboration and growth.
- Organize partnership meetings, check-ins, and progress reviews to maintain a strong and cooperative relationship.
- Work closely with the communications team to ensure partners receive appropriate recognition and acknowledgment.
- Develop performance metrics and KPIs for each partnership to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the collaboration.
- Collaborate with partners on joint initiatives, such as fundraising campaigns, awareness-building events, or advocacy efforts.
- Handle and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise within partnerships, ensuring that both parties continue working toward shared objectives.
- Conduct regular evaluations to measure the social and financial impact of partnerships and use this data for improvement and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive partner directory with information on collaboration history, key contacts, and potential areas for expansion.
1. **Market Research and Industry Engagement:**
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the nonprofit sector, international aid, and related industries.
- Attend industry conferences and trade shows to network with potential partners, funders, and like-minded organizations.
