Director of Operations

For GS-15: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience includes the following: Demonstrated experience directing a policy and compliance division within a federal law enforcement organization, including redesigning internal workflows and implementing data-driven decision-making frameworks to measurably improve organizational efficiency, government oversight, and process standardization across operational and administrative functions.

Proven ability to manage the full range of administrative operations - including procurement and contracting, budget formulation and execution, staffing planning, and risk management - in support of a federal law enforcement organization with a workforce of 75 or more special agents. Experience encompasses strategic resource allocation, personnel resourcing, and ensuring operational readiness across all administrative functions. Experience leading teams of professional staff in classified programs and sensitive operational environments, with a track record of applying sound judgment, executive-level discretion, and strategic planning to advance mission objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable security and regulatory requirements. No Relocation Incentives will be offered.

No Permanent Change of Station Incentives will be offered. This position is outside the Bargaining Unit. This position will not be filled until the Department's Placement Assistance Programs have been fully utilized.
