Full Description

The purpose of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource Core (BBSRC) is to provide professional expertise in biostatistics and bioinformatics for all Meharry Medical College/Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center/Tennessee State University Cancer Partnership (MVTCP) projects, investigators and participants. Functions provided by this core include development of experimental designs and power and sample size analysis; data quality control; statistical and bioinformatic analysis and interpretation of findings; and collaboration on presentation of results. To achieve these functions, BBSRC directors and members are constantly available to investigators and are in regular contact with project and Core leaders.
