Administrative Core
Full Description
The overall goal of the Administrative Core (AC) is to provide scientific and programmatic leadership that maximizes the value of the CFAR in supporting HIV research at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and its institutional and community partners. The AC ensures that the JHU HIV research community, regardless of career stage or research setting, has access to the CFAR’s many resources. The AC strives to support, in particular, early stage investigators (ESIs), researchers new to HIV, and those conducting research in Baltimore City or another priority jurisdiction for the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative. The Core provides direct support to the PI, Executive Committee, Leadership Committee, Scientific Working Groups, the Baltimore HIV Collaboratory, and the Mid-Atlantic CFAR Consortium.
The Core also manages CFAR finances, leverages institutional resources, and regulatory and fiscal compliance. Additionally, the Administrative Core conducts regular reviews of CFAR productivity and performs ongoing strategic planning.
